How can improve my music reading skills?

As of now, I just started piano like about 4 weeks ago. I have one lesson every Saturday. I am a bit slow on learning how to read music. Are there any books or software that can help me? What do you recommend?

HELP! How do I learn how to sing in one week?

I desperatly want the part of Lola in my school play Damn Yankees. but I just got the piece i have to sing in the auditions (Whatever Lola Wants) and I can’t sing worth a #$%^. I don’t even know how to read the music. Is there a site where i can learn to read it and train my voice to stay strong on higher notes? Is there something I can buy to measure what note my voice is at? I know they have them for instruments, but what about voices? How do I breath, what exercises can I do, how to do scales, EVERYTHING! What books and software do you suggest to learn piano, reading sheet music, and music theory?

Sight Reading?

My 9th grade yr was my very 1st yr in choir & i didnt know what was going on with sight reading So i mimicked my peers to try to look good in front of the others Then we started to learn the words to the songs & i didnt have to mimick any1 The melody was so easy 2 learn all you had 2 do was pernounce the words correctly Then we’d learn another song & the same actions would repeat. At the end of the yr we had advanced choir tryouts & it consisted of 2 parts (50pts availible ea.) \

1 was to randomly sing 30 sec of any song the choir instructer picked with all dynamics

2 was to sight read a very complicated peace

I did VERY well on the 1st part
on the secound I CHOCKED because i didnt know which notes was which

Ex. Right now if i found a peace of music i wouldnt know the first note
So 2 wrap this all up I dont know how 2 disstinguish the notes out
I know what all the names for them are and i know the handsign
The next school yr is coming & i dont want 2 have 2 fake sing
