What should I learn next on my Guitar? (Music Theory)?

Tyson asked:

Been playing for almost two years.

I know how to play and sing some songs but would like to be able to improvise more.

I know how to read music, know my major scale, relative minor, harmonic minor, some caged theory.

Usually when improvising In lead I stick with a major/minor scale and pick random notes or arpeggio whatever chord their playing. Otherwise If playing rhythm I end up just playing Major, Minor, 7th, or Power Chords.

Any suggestions?

My Love – Justin Timberlake ( Piano Version )

Deb754 asked:

Ok, I’ll tell this in all my vids. I haven’t got lessons and don’t know how to read music notes. I just listen and play and hope that it doesn’t sound like noise instead of music. =D I’ve got NO idea how to play for the rapping part that TI does so I just cancelled it out. Oh, and my piano makes stupid noises when I press the chords, please try to ignore that! Thanks and enjoy! … “my love” “justin timberlake” justin

How can I improve my sight reading as a guitarist?

john asked:

Also, in both written music and tablature, what does a vertical line of crosses mean (as opposed to notes or numbers)?
