SidewalkerTexasRanger asked: i know if you do things long enough they become natural but hear me out, i play bass in high school and i really want to consider becoming a professional in it. but i was self taught but i recently started taking piano lessons like 9 months ago. i can read music ok but not well enough to do syncopations and harder stuff. is there any books or website that teach this so it becomes like 2nd nature for me?

but the thing is, that even though i can get the scores for music, I don’t always have a piano around me. but I really want to improve my sight reading. Do you have any strategies or tips on what i can do with a musical score, even if I don’t have a piano to play it on?
